I’ve been a videographer since 1987. I began my career working for local television stations shooting news, sports, features and documentaries. Some of that work took me abroad to places like Saudi Arabia to cover the first gulf war and to Haiti where I earned a National Press Photographer Association award for coverage of the US invasion and reinstatement of Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide. I’ve been to El Salvador to cover the US relief aid after Hurricane Mitch and to Albania to cover the Kosovar refugee crisis. For coverage in El Salvador and Albania I received RTNDA (Radio Television News Directors Association) first place awards.

Since becoming a freelance videographer in 2000, I’ve continued to cover news events such as the Virginia Tech shooting rampage in 2007 and numerous hurricanes for the major networks and federal government agencies such as FEMA and the national Humane Society. I’ve also done numerous corporate and training videos for high technology and pharmaceutical companies such as IBM, GlaxoSmithKline, Nortel, Quintiles and Cisco. These videos have been used by their offices all over the world as a tool to promote products, train and recruit employees and enhance product awareness. I also do work for government agencies such as the Department of Corrections and the Department of Education as well as non-profit agencies such as the NC Partnership for Excellence who used the primary and secondary education videos we produced to demonstrate the latest and most innovative teaching methods to teachers all across North Carolina.
